July 08, 2011 - H Project is working on a large scale project, to produce a combination cd/dvd with a grant from the American Music Center Composer Assistance Program.
Entities involved include the world class string quartet Tosca, RiverBend Centre venue , Lisa Robertson director, Mike Mordecai and Fable Records, John Mill's performance ensemble Times Ten, the Knights of Steel steelband, and the H Project. Scheduled plans are for recording and performance dates in 2012.
July 06, 2011 -H Project principal member John Mills is at the Ottawa Cisco Systems BlueFest, a two-week event which is one of the largest pop music festivals in North America. He is appearing again with the Texas Horns, who have been the "horn section-in-residence" at the festival for the last 12 years, performing in concert with a wide range of artists.
July 03, 2011 - Syndicated broadcast performances at RiverBend Center
July 1, 2011 - Hank Hehmsoth received the Texas State University Presidential Award for Excellence in Scholarly/Creative Activities at the College of Fine Arts. The award is presented in August as part of the Faculty Awards Program.

One of H Project's' most exciting initiatives is the Not Yet 30 Nights, a unique commissioning and performance program for performers and composers under 30 years old, launching in 2012. By cultivating creative relationships with such emerging talents and a wealth of other artists from around the world, H Project members reap the benefit of wisdom while maintaining a fresh approach to music-making inspired by a new generation of composers and performers.
